Happy preparing dinner

Simple and healthy dinner ideas are easy to prepare and quick to make. Dad and mom decided to prepare a simple dinner with your helping hands on 17.3.2010. Both of you excited to participate in this great job. Cooking can be easy and fun, girls.First, Lydia peeled and cut white radish into pieces. As Lydia is old enough to use a knife, mom decides to teach her to cut gently.
We need to prepare ingredients such as boneless skinless chicken breast and some dried cuttlefish. Cuttle fish can add some sweetness and flavor to the soup.
In warm water blanch the cuttlefish and chicken breast for a few seconds. Remove and wash in cold water. This was the first time Lydia drained the chicken. Our family prefer soup which relatively light and not too oily.
It was Priscilla's turn. She gently peel back outer leaves of the cabbage.
Rinse the cabbage well and pat it dry. Priscilla used a stainless steel knife to cut up cabbage. Watch out, girl. Children need to be taught how to use sharp tools without injuring themselves.
Perhaps Priscilla was a fantastic chef. She cut the carrots into circles. She done a wonderful job.
Soak dried prawns until soft. Lydia chopped dried prawns to tiny pieces.
Rinse off prawns under water and pat dry. Then Lydia cut through the underside of the head and shell of each prawn with kitchen scissors.
Learn how to cook cereal prawns is definitely a plus point to save your money as having cereal prawns at the restaurants. It is one of our favorite menu. A favorite for all ages. As we need to make a simple dinner, so we used a packet of Crispy Cereal Instant Mix. It is convenient and easy to use.

What you need to do is to deep fried the prawns till it turn orangey colour and set aside. Then add 5 tbsp margerin into the wok and fried the curry leaves and chilli padi till fragrant. Add in the whole packet of crispy cereal mix, the prawns and mixed well.Mom started to melt the butter in a wok and poured in a whole packet of cereal and stir. Added in the prawns and continue stirring for 20 seconds. Turned to small fire so as not to overcook them. Done. Did you smell something nice to wake up your taste buds?
Heat oil in a wok. Added in garlic and dried prawn, fried for 15 second.Added in carrots and cabbage and stir fry for another 3 minutes. Cabbage is a great accompaniment to any meal. What a simple vegetable dish you can eat with rice.
Chinese soup is the instant magic to make your eating experience at home more pleasurable.A good tasting healthy soup awaits. Give this soup a try.
Brown rice certainly appears to be more healthy. Our family like to mix white and brown rice together for a great combination of flavor.
Our favorite simple dinner is ready. It may seem like a little too much work for a simple meal. A simple way to enjoy a stress-free dinner with family or friends.
Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for this food. Bless it to our strength and to thy glory.
Dinner time is precious time. A home is a fantastic place to have a healthy and wholesome meal for the whole family. A time to sit and hear about each other’s day.

Jom , let us pi Pesta Pulau Pnang

Pesta Pulau Pinang will be held a month long in the month of December every year.It will be open to the public daily from 6p.m till 11.30p.m.
Both of you wanted to visit the Pesta Pulau Pinang trade fair site very much.
Finaly we went for a visit on 30.12.2008 with Shi Wah.
Can you see that? Three girls enjoying their ice-cream?

The roads were jammed with traffic streaming to the pesta site. It took about 1 hour drive from our house to “Pesta” site.
We reached there around 10p.m. Haiz, lack of parking space.
Entrance charges are lower now at RM3 for an adult and RM1 for a child.
This year, the pesta theme is “Jom Pi Penang”.
It means let’s go to Penang.
This year’s Pesta Pulau Pinang promises to be different from previous years.

More interesting activities planned for it.Dad and mom are looking forward they could inject some freshness into it.
Visitors will have chance to meet famous local celebrities.
We spent sometime visiting the other pavilions and stalls.

Some are selling produce from Indonesia. There were stalls selling clothes, handbags, handphones, household things etc, making it look more like a supermarket than a fair.We also head on to the Euro Fun Park for games and activities catered to people of all ages. The crowds were here.

Three of you at heart couldn’t resist trying out the various rides. Really loved the rides. All had great fun.

Dad tried to catch the movement of the roundabout. What a great shot. The world was in motion. We reached home at 12.30p.m. Three of you love Cotton Candy. Cotton Candy is originally called fairy floss. It is made from floss sugar. Freshly made by machine.
The process first involves the sugar melting into a liquid form that is spun inside of the cotton candy machine. When it finally cools, the sugar changes back from a liquid state to a solid state where it can be collected and served on a stick.

We bought a packet of Cotton Candy to share together.
What a family fun night on 30.12.2008, my girls.

A visit to Commonwealth War Graves Commission at Taiping

We went to visit Commonwealth War Graves Commission at Taiping on 20.3.2010. It located along the way to the foothill of Maxwell Hill.
Could you see that? Its surroundings are very well tended. It was constructed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
Taiping War Cemetery was created after the Second World War for the reception of graves brought from the battlefields.
We never seen this place before. Sister Mei Leng recommended it to us. What a nice surprise. We really hope can find out the history behind this cemetery.
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is responsible for maintaining the graves of members of Commonwealth forces who were killed in service in the two World Wars. All enquiries should be addressed to:Enquiries Section : Commonwealth War Graves Commission, 2 Marlow Road, Maidenhead,Berks, SL6 7DX.

Dad stood smartly in front of the gate.
A tiny little door for visitors to register but there is not possible to keep the cemetery register in this box at all times.
Girls, greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. The highest human exhibition of love that earth has ever seen was this. Christ was about to exhibit this highest type of human love by dying for his friends. He did even more, as Paul shows us in Ro 5:6, he died for his enemies, something that man had never done.

Every tombstone tells a story.
What a lovely peaceful area of Taiping and well worth a visit.

Lydia and Priscilla, Taiping War Cemetery is a major Allied war cemetery in Malaysia. It contains the graves of 826 Allied soldiers of the Commonwealth fighting the Japanese in the "Campaign in Malaya" of December 1941 - February 1942. We were grateful we had the opportunity to learn this valuable history. It was an appropriately historical place. Sister Mei Leng, thanks for your kindness to accompany us to Commonwealth War Graves Commission. We really interested in visiting historical places.

May they rest in peace, and rise in glory. All suffering and sorrow will be no more. They'll vanish like shadows at heaven's door.
