A good time with Danielites

We organised a trip to Sitiawan trip on 31.12.2013. Our Sitiawan trip started at 9am. We had our breakfast at Restoran Chao Zhou at Chai Leng Park. It was great to travel with Danielites members.
We are brothers in Christ.
We are sisters in Christ.
Lydia and Priscilla, we never forgot the good time we had. We thank God for the gift of family.
Dad and mom went here for breakfast with po po and ema's family on one Sunday morning, we had to wait for couple moment for a seat. Luckily, we managed to get a seat today.
This restaurant also serves a wide selection of dim sum for breakfast. Dad and mom love century egg porridge here. In dialect, century egg porridge is called "pi dan zhok".
After taken our breakfast, we headed to Sitiawan. Sitiawan is on the central west coast of Malaysia. The journey from Penang to Sitiawan took around 3 hours. Here is our destination-Cheong Cia Gong Pian, a small corner shop nestled on the main road in town.
Sitiawan Cheong Cia Gong Pian is at No. 12, Jalan Tok Perdana, 32000 Sitiawan, Perak. Their business hours is from 9.30am-5:00pm.
Charcoal clay oven. Never forget to to grab for this famous biscuit-Gong Pia 福州光饼 when you visit Sitiawan.
Be prepared for the wait if you are not here at the right time. Anyway it was a good chance to observe how these Foo Chow biscuits are made.
Photo does tell a thousand words. Making Gong Pian needs time and a lot of hard work.
Making Gong Pia 福州光饼 is an art. Rolling dough through a machine .
The baking process takes about 90 minutes.
The baked gong pians are removed and placed on the table top to be cooled by a table fan.
Gong Pian tasted great. Crispy on the outside, slightly chewy on the inside, with tasty bits of fragrant onions and lard. The pastry was soft with a slight crunch.
A trip to Sitiawan won’t be complete without trying this snack. These savoury biscuits are one of the oldest favourites brought by the Hock Chew settlers from China.
Due to its popularity, the business was quite good. This onion-filled biscuits cost 90 sen each. People were queuing up to wait for these freshly baked biscuits.
Nine of us purchased 90 pieces of Gong Pian.
If the Gong Pians were sold out, you need to wait for next round.
Handmade noodles resembling cotton threads left to dry under the hot sun. Mee sua from Setiawan is much thicker with a slight springy texture.
Our next stop was Merina Bay. The journey to Pulau Pangkor by ferry will be shorten with the development of Marina Island. Do you feel the sea breeze?
Picking up seashells at the beach. Girls, the shells are empty because the animal has died and the soft parts have been eaten.
May I know who is the girl standing on the wooden bridge? Sea and girl always come with stories.
After having a look around the Marina Island, we headed to sister's Wan Xin home to take a rest. After a good warm bath, we had dinner together. Canopy hanging style dresses up the room nicely. Do you agree? We stayed one night in this lovely home. Thanks sister Wan Xin for her wonderful hospitality.
We had dinner at Memories House 恋忆屋 with brother Yong Qing and his wife. Really thanks to them for inviting us to a dinner. This restaurant is located in Pantai Remis.

What a lovely picture. Yes or no? I await your reply.
Priscilla, you never miss the chance to take photo with lovely Hello Kitty.
We celebrated sister Li Fang's birthday on this special day.
Happy Birthday sister Li Fang. May the Lord continue to use you in many miraculous ways.
Many thanks to Danielites for making our day such a memorable one. May you all be richly blessed and may others be blessed by you.
