After worship in Pantai Remis Gospel Hall, we had our lunch at a traditional Chinese coffee shop with Yong Yan's family.
With our stomachs filled, we headed towards Segari to see a turtle hatchery. Pusat Pengurusan Penyu Pasir Panjang Segari is located just a couple of miles from the town of Lumut , Perak. In order to protect marine habitats and species, this turtle hatchery centre is set up by State Goverment.

Little leatherback turtle hatchlings. Sea turtle likes to swim near the edge of pond. The softshell of the turtle hatchlings is dark in colour.
The turtles here come in many sizes, from the hatching stages, teenagers and right up to full grown adulthood.

It was`one of the most rewarding experiences of our life.
The sea turtles crawled towards the ocean. Girls, we all wished them safe journeys. Very few of those young turtles are survived. They are preyed upon by crabs, seagulls, and sharks. And, of course, one of the most dangerous predators is human beings.
Baby turtle has the ability to swim and survive in deeper water. God give sea turtles the perfect equipment to be powerful swimmers.
Pasir Panjang beach is a favorite place for sea turtles to come and lay their eggs before going back to the sea. The fine sandy beaches, lush trees and peaceful area make Pasir Panjang Beach an ideal location for turtle nesting. These turtles come onshore between March and July each year. Unfortunately the turtles`which come visit here is decreasing from year to year.

Girls, turtles are part of the endangered species list. It is one of the beautiful and amazing creation of God. We should conserve our valuable natural resources.
It is definitely a place worth visiting especially for school children. Parents play a very valuable role in their children's education in and out of the classroom. Children on educational trips learn lots while they are having fun in a more informal environment.
Girls, due to human intervention and pollution, there are not many occasion where one can see the sea turtles come and lay their eggs. The turtles face numerous challenges to survive until adulthood. Participate in wildlife scientific research if you want . Add your voice to all of our current campaigns to save sea turtles. Turtles need a great deal of care. Do love these wonderful creatures that God made.
